From the start of his Master’s programme in November 2020 until April 2021, Mr Weiß supported the Centre of Competence for Sustainability in the Real Estate Industry as a research assistant. From May 2021, he worked on sub-project 5 of DFG Research Group 2733: ‘Transformation of Sacred Spaces: Function and Use of Religious Sites in Germany’ (TRANSARA), in cooperation with the University of Bonn, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sven Bienert (IRE|BS). From June 2023 to May 2026, he continued his work on the DFG research project TRANSARA as a research assistant, and since June 2026, Johann Weiß has been working as a research assistant at the Centre of Competence for Sustainability in the Real Estate Industry.
