Rye Bittl has a Bachelor's degree in American Studies, Media Studies and Cultural Anthropology. They have an MA in European American Studies and wrote their Master's Thesis about Tourist Selfies taken at Concentration Camp Memorial Sites. 

In addition to teaching, they work as Administrative Manager at REAF

 

Research

Rye Bittl is currently pursuing their PhD Project and is mostly interested in trans identities, memory culture, and how these tie in with political ideologies.
