M.A. programs
The Department of English and American Studies (DEAS) at the University of Regensburg enjoys high national and international renown. It has established itself among the leading German research institutes in the field.
The Department of English and American Studies at the University of Regensburg offers the following graduate programs:
- M.A. English Linguistics (Englische Linguistik)
- M.A. British Studies (Britische Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft)
- M.A. European-American Studies (Europäisch-Amerikanische Studien)
These M.A. programs are designed to expand the scope of a first academic qualification while also incorporating practical options.

General Information about ECTS (Credit Points)
For the M.A. programs, students must earn 120 ECTS (credit points/CP) (see the program structure of the individual M.A. program). Thus, to complete the M.A. study program within the standard period of study (four semesters), students should earn approximately 30 credit points each semester.
