Funding opportunities for young female scientists
Every year, our faculty is allocated funds from the financial incentive system to promote equal opportunities for women. In addition, research grants for young female academics are available at the University of Regensburg as part of the Bavarian Programme for the Realisation of Equal Opportunities for Women in Research and Teaching and the Female Professors Programme of the Federal and State Governments III.
Funding opportunities include, for example
- SHK or WHK positions for young female researchers
- Travel allowances for academic trips
- Information events outside the university on individual degree programmes
- Procurement of literature and software
- Printing cost subsidies
- Translation costs for publications
- Support for guest lectures by female researchers or invitations from cooperation partners by female researchers at the University of Regensburg
- Continuing education programmes
- Measures of the faculty's equality policies
- Start-up funding for doctorates
- Doctoral, postdoctoral or habilitation scholarships
- Post-doctoral scholarships
In the current calendar year, you can submit applications to the equal opportunities officers for science and art. Please note the following points:
- Cover letter with a brief explanation and motivation for the application
- when applying for SHK/WHK positions, scholarships and academic travel, enclose a letter of support or justification from your supervisor(s)
- a brief statement that no funds are being received from other sources or that if funds are approved from other sources, the approved funds will be repaid after consultation
- for conference visits: clear cost breakdown including receipts
- when transferring to a private account: Please state bank details (IBAN)
- for transfers within the university: chapter, title, subtitle, cost centre/project, KoA, Hül-No.
- Please submit the application in electronic form and in one complete document by e-mail.
