Courses in the winter term 2026/27

Lecture: Public Digital Law II ( jointly with Prof. Dr Jürgen Kühling), LL.B. Digital Law, Wednesdays 12.00–14.00.

Seminar: “Parliamentarism in Germany and Europe – an assessment of the ‘first branch of government’” (term papers in SPB 1, SPB 4, SPB 7, SPB 8; cross-specialisation in the preparatory seminar), block course: Parliamentarism and representative democracy are under pressure. In acute crises, they are seen as too sluggish; they stand for centrist politics and thus tend towards compromise rather than a supposedly ‘clear line’. Some call for a stronger executive, whilst others call for more direct democracy. This seminar aims to examine the past, present and future of parliamentarism in Germany and the European Union. In doing so, it seeks to bring together a range of subject-specific perspectives, in line with the various specialisation areas on offer. Registration for the seminar takes place via Flexnow between 13 April and 1 June 2026.

An information session on the seminar will take place on Friday, 22 May 2026 at 9.30 am in room S 3.13.
