Last Friday, 22 November 2024, a book presentation took place at the University of Regensburg for the newly published anthology "Das Gebet für die Verstorbenen. Approaches from theology and practice" (external link, opens in a new window) took place.
Authors, students, members of the teaching staff, lecturers and friends of the faculty gathered in the large conference room of the Faculty of Catholic Theology. Prof Dr Andrea Riedl began by welcoming the guests, thanking the sponsors and outlining the concept and content of the book. Three of the authors, Dr Jochen Wagner, Cornelia Egg-Möwes and Ludwig Schmidinger, had their say. The musical contribution was provided by members of Regensburg's Orthodox communities - Dr Gregory Tucker, Georg Hahn and Andei Ciobanu - with hymns to commemorate the dead from the Byzantine tradition. Sophie Matt M.A., research assistant at the Chair of Moral Theology, presented the Perimortal Sciences degree program, which has been offered at the Faculty of Catholic Theology in Regensburg for several years (you can find more information here) (external link, opens in a new window). The event came to a successful Degree with a small reception.
The book is available to download free of charge as an openAccess version on the publisher's website (external link, opens in a new window). To purchase the printed book, please contact the chair.
