Dies academicus

We look back on the past, reflect on the present, and set our sights on the future.

About the Dies academicus

The Dies academicus is a special day in the academic year, commemorating the start of studies at the University of Regensburg in the winter semester of 1967/68.

In a formal ceremony, Professor Dr Udo Hebel, President of the University of Regensburg, together with university members, alumni, friends, partners, and guests, will reflect on the past year, consider the present, and look ahead to the future.

Special contributions to the university and outstanding student engagement will be recognized with honors and awards.

Musical performances by university ensembles will provide a festive atmosphere for the Dies academicus lecture and the award ceremony.

The Dies academicus 2025 took place on Thursday, November 27th, at 5 pm in the Audimax of the University of Regensburg.
