We are excited to be part of bayklif2, Bavaria's second climate research network, which celebrated its official launch on May 11, 2026, at the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation in Munich. The event brought together scientists, policymakers, and industry representatives around the theme of solution-oriented, translational climate research.
Our group is involved in two of the six interdisciplinary projects within bayklif2:
- bAImo (externer Link, öffnet neues Fenster) develops a modern insect monitoring framework that combines AI and citizen science to generate reliable assessments of insect population trends in the context of climate change
- BaySenseAI (externer Link, öffnet neues Fenster) builds a scalable AI platform, that integrates satellite data with field surveys to accurately predict biodiversity patterns across Bavaria.
Both projects reflect our lab's commitment to bridging ecological data science and applied conservation. We look forward to contributing to this growing network of Bavarian researchers working toward a climate-resilient future.
