Incoming Exchange Students

The Bachelor’s degree programme in Chemistry at the University of Regensburg is generally taught in German.

However, to make the programme more accessible to international exchange students, many of our lectures (highlighted in blue in the figure on the left) are offered as ‘English on Demand ’. This means that these courses can be delivered in English as required, enabling students with little or no knowledge of German to participate fully in the academic programme.

Lectures highlighted in grey, however, are offered exclusively in German.

Once you have decided on your course selection, please contact the relevant lecturers directly at an early stage to register your requirement for English-language courses.

Lab courses in the Bachelor’s program are generally conducted in German; however, some may also be offered in English on request, depending on availability and supervisory capacity. Exchange students interested in lab courses are asked to contact the relevant course coordinators in good time so that suitable arrangements can be made.
