Key areas of research

Research at our faculty covers a wide spectrum, ranging from mechanistic and structural chemistry, through photo-electro-catalysis and sustainable chemistry, to medicinal chemistry, including natural active compounds. Other key areas include bioanalytics and biosensors, as well as research into chemistry education. Through the use of modern technologies, innovative approaches in research and teaching are closely interlinked. This close connection creates an inspiring and dynamic environment that offers excellent development opportunities, particularly for early-career researchers.

Further information on the research topics can be found on the chairs’ websites.
