With the UR Potentials programme, the University supports its Early Career Scientists in the independent acquisition of third-party funding and in the establishment and expansion of their own working group.

Funds from the UR Potentials funding programme are not taken into account when calculating the remaining funds.
The university management decides on the allocation of funds on the recommendation of the Research Council. There is an annual call for proposals for Stages 1 and 2. Applications in Stage 3 that are submitted less than two weeks before the respective meeting of the Research Council can only be dealt with at the next meeting.
