Event: Europe-wide Waste Prevention Action Week also taking place on the UR campus

Clean-up campaigns and Green IT clean-ups on campus

Join in with the action week and, together with your university community, send a message in support of sustainability! Whether it’s taking part in a clean-up, donating end-of-life IT equipment or organising your own small initiative during the action week – every contribution counts. The themed week, under the motto ‘Value resources. Make conscious choices!’, is taking place as part of European Week for Waste Reduction (external link, opens in a new window).

Ways to get involved

Campus Clean-Up On 24 November from 12 noon to 4 pm, you’ll find us at the information stand by the construction huts, where you can find out more about the campaign week or just join in on the spot. We’ll provide you with litter pickers, gloves and buckets.

Mobile phone donation: Donate your smartphone as part of the Bavarian mobile phone collection campaign (external link, opens in a new window). Drop-off points include the collection box at the Campus IT Service Point.

Green IT Clean-Up: Return old UR-internal IT equipment (laptops, printers, etc.) to the collection points (more information to follow)

Organiseyour own initiative: Staff , student councils , university groups, faculties and committed individuals can get involved by organising their own initiatives. We’d be delighted if you could let us know about your initiative by emailing greenoffice@ur.de (opens your email program).
