Research interests
My research interests focus on plant species conservation and combine ex-situ and in-situ approaches. I study endangered plant species in their natural habitats using molecular genetic methods and by assessing their reproductive capacity. In addition, I analyse landscape history and vegetation data to understand their influence on plants. I also work with seed banks as a long-term ex situ conservation strategy for plants: I collect, test and store seeds and use them for reintroductions together with nature conservation practitioners.
