Newsletter

The Institute publishes various newsletters. Depending on your interests, you can subscribe to individual mailing lists or all of them.

However, we strongly recommend that all students studying German Philology or German Studies subscribe at least to the ‘Germanistik-News’ mailing list, as this is where we primarily share important information.

German Studies News (external link, opens in a new window)

This newsletter is our main source for information. We use it to provide information on important dates and deadlines (e.g. enrolment and withdrawal periods), last-minute changes to the course programme, legal matters, remaining places on courses, as well as internship opportunities that may count towards credit points and relevant job vacancies for German studies students, amongst other things.

German Studies Culture (including lectures) (external link, opens in a new window)

If you’re interested in cultural events or guest talks at the university or in and around Regensburg (theatre, poetry slams, exhibitions, etc.), you’ve come to the right place. Talks related to your field of study are also advertised here.

German Studies and School (external link, opens in a new window)

‘German Studies and School’ is aimed at teachers from all types of schools within the catchment area of the University of Regensburg. The newsletter for teachers has been available since the 2023/24 winter semester and provides updates on the Institute, public lectures and the Institute’s programmes, such as early-start and taster courses. List moderator and contact person: Professor Dr Thomas Martinec
