Clara de Oliveira Seyler is studying for a Master's degree in intercultural european studies with French and Spanish. Her focus is on francophone and hispanophone cultural areas of the Americas. She has been a student assistant at the chair since October 2025.
She completed her Bachelor's degree at Saarland University in Saarbrücken in French Cultural Studies and Intercultural Communication with a Minor Subject in Spanish . The topic of her bachelor's thesis was "From 'I can't breathe' to #blackouttuesday: A critical analysis of the Black Lives Matter protests in Germany" (1.0). As part of her studies, she spent a semester abroad at the Université Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle, and two further internships took her to the Goethe-Institutes in Montréal and Mexico City.
She has been a Heinrich Böll Foundation scholarship holder since April 2021.
