Professorship for Spanish and French Cultural and Literary Studies

The professorship and its team are dedicated to researching romance cultures, literatures and media from the 17th century to our post-digital present. In terms of cultural regions, the objects studied range from France and Spain to the Caribbean, Latin America and Quebec. Our research focuses in particular on visual cultures (comics, film, media icons), the mediation of economy and history through literature and theatre, and hip-hop.
