Lying options for pregnant women
There are various locations across the campus where pregnant women can get some rest.
Some of these are quiet rooms, but some are just portable loungers that you can borrow and set up in an office.
If you are pregnant and are likely to need a place to rest near your place of study or work in the near future, please enquire in good time.
You can find an overview of reclining options (opens in a new window). (This PDF is not accessible) here

Use of the university library
Family-friendly use of the university library
Parents of young children do not have to put reading room books back on the shelf themselves after returning them. The counter staff will be happy to do this for you.
In the information centre of the central library you will find a study area where it doesn't have to be quiet. Here you can work more relaxed in the presence of your child/children than in the quiet study areas in the reading rooms. Please speak to the counter staff if you would like to borrow colouring books and pencils.
Many library media are available for download at home via VPN. You are welcome to send us an acquisition proposal.

Children's Canteen Card
Children's meal card for students
Children of student parents can eat for free in the Regensburg canteen up to the age of 6. The Studentenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz offers a free children's plate in the Regensburg canteen.
Student parents can obtain a "Kinderteller-Mensa-Card" from the staff at the Studentenwerk canteen card office (as usual against a deposit). A valid certificate of enrolment and a copy of the child's birth certificate are sufficient. With this card in combination with a valid student ID, the following applies: Whenever a student parent eats in one of our canteens accompanied by their own child/children up to the age of six, the offspring of the family receives their meal free of charge.
You can find more information on the Studierendenwerk homepage (external link, opens in a new window).
