Enrolment
There are no entry restrictions for this degree programme. Consequently, prospective students holding a German general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) do not need to submit an application. Enrolment takes place in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Student Affairs Office at the University of Regensburg.
Winter Term Orientation Session
The LL.B. in Digital Law usually commences in the winter semester. Enrolment therefore always takes place on 1 October of each year, which marks the start of the winter semester. The lecture term, however, usually does not begin until around the middle of the month.
Before lectures begin, introductory sessions take place across the campus and the first course registration deadlines come into effect.
However, students transferring from other disciplines – that is, those who can demonstrate adequate academic achievement from previous degree programmes – may also start in the summer semester, subject to recognition of their prior learning.
Please be sure to attend our introductory session ‘Studying for the LL.B. in Digital Law’ on 12 October 2026 at 6.00 pm. If you are also studying Law for the State Examination in parallel, or are interested in the dual degree programme, you are welcome to come to room H20 as early as 5.00 pm.
First-year students are warmly invited to take part in the Faculty of Law’s induction programme on 12 October 2026, starting at 10.00 am!
You will be welcomed in Lecture Theatre H24 by our Dean, Prof. Christoph Althammer, our Director of Studies, Prof. Claudia Mayer, and our student representatives. This will be followed by an introduction to the law degree programme (StEx) by the programme coordinator, Dr Petra Fexer.
On this day, key institutions and individuals who are important for a successful and varied degree programme will be introduced.
You can download the programme for the introductory event here (opens in a new window). (This PDF is not accessible). Please note: subject to minor changes!
There is a dedicated course for this programme in the ‘GRIPS’ e-learning system.
The lecture term begins on 12 October 2026.
