What is a Second Degree Program?

A second degree program is a further undergraduate degree program (e.g. Bachelor's or State Examination) that you take up after successfully completing your first degree. It differs from a Master's degree program, which builds on a Bachelor's degree, and from a change of degree program, which does not involve a degree.

Reasons for a Second Degree Program

Many people choose a second degree program for the following reasons:

  • Career reorientation
  • Expansion of qualifications
  • Personal interest
