Projects/Research

With the aim of reflexively substantiating teaching and learning processes in religious education, the staff at the Chair of Religious Education and Didactics of Religious Education combine systematic, empirical and didactic research approaches. Completed work and ongoing projects are dedicated to the systematic clarification of fundamental theorems (in particular religious learning and correlation), the empirical exploration of selected problem contexts (in particular learning processes in trainee teachers, theodicy among young people, interactive interpretations in classroom discussions, subjective experiences of injustice) and the didactic penetration of important subject areas (in particular Bible didactics and church space pedagogy). The ideal of research that critically and constructively relates to teaching practice is currently being put to the test in the development of a competence-orientated textbook series.
