BITE applicant portal

The University of Regensburg uses the BITE applicant management software to integrate and digitise its application and recruitment processes for non-academic staff.

DBIS

DBIS

The Database Information System (external link, opens in a new window) (DBIS) was developed in 2002 by Regensburg University Library and is a collaboratively used, web-based search tool for academic databases. DBIS currently supports researchers and students from 332 institutions in selecting the databases they need for their research.

Digital process for the recognition of academic achievements and examination results

The process for recognising credits earned abroad is handled entirely digitally via Lucom, ensuring it is standardised, transparent and efficient across the university.

Digital expense claims

Digital expense claims enable claims to be submitted at any time and from any location, creating a more efficient, largely digital process for the reimbursement of expenses.

Long-term digital availability in the Bavaria Library Network

The digital transformation of academia is based on the premise that digital information can be made permanently available. The Regensburg University Library is taking a significant step in this direction: Since 2019, the project ‘Long-term Digital Availability in the Bavarian Library Network’ has been working towards the goal of making digital information relevant to academic research permanently accessible within the framework of the cooperative service network of Bavarian academic libraries.

Digital Magazine (DIMAG)

The digital archive establishes a common archiving structure for Bavarian University Archives and enables the consistent, sustainable preservation of digital records.

Digital staff ID card

University staff can, if they wish, obtain a digital ID card which confirms their employment status and unlocks further features.

eBooks on Demand

Regensburg University Library is part of the eBooks on Demand network, alongside 30 partner libraries from 12 different countries. The network’s vision is to make all European books available as eBooks.

Turnitin plagiarism and AI detection software

The University of Regensburg provides its teaching staff with the plagiarism detection software ‘Similarity’ and the AI-based detection software ‘Originality’ from Turnitin under a campus licence.

Website relaunch

As part of the project, the University of Regensburg’s website was comprehensively overhauled and redesigned. In addition, an intranet was integrated to centrally consolidate internal information and services.
