Free area (= elective courses in)
In addition to the courses specified in the modules, 15 credit points must be earned in other teaching-specific courses at the university (LPO I § 22(2) 1h/2f/3f). These credit points can come from
- from the didactics internship with seminar (5 CP)
- from courses in the subject of education (only for LA GS, LA MS and LA RS)
- from specialised academic courses in the subjects studied in depth or not in depth. All courses offered in the course catalogues for the Bachelor's degree in Biology are permitted for all teacher training students with Biology as a teaching subject or Biology as an in-depth subject.
- from subject-specific didactic events in the subjects studied in depth or not in depth. The courses from biology teaching that can be included in the elective courses in can be found in the course catalogues.
- from an "extended" admission thesis (Bachelor's or Master's thesis for the Science degree programme), which was assessed with more than 10 CP, 2 CP can be credited for an accompanying officially offered working group seminar or laboratory practical course.
- from language courses, rhetoric and presentation courses from the ZSK programme
- from teaching-related courses offered by the Computer Center
- from courses in the didactics of primary school teaching or didactics of a subject group of the Hauptschule (only for LA GS and LA MS)
- Achievements for the acquisition of a basic qualification (only for LA GS and LA MS).
- Further details are regulated by the university examination regulations in § 25.
In the subject of education, 35 CP must be completed. At least the following modules totalling 27 CP must be successfully completed:
Education - sub-subject General Pedagogy
EWS - School education as a sub-subject
EWS - Psychology sub-subject.
The remaining 8 CP can also be earned from teaching-specific courses offered by the university or from subject-specific didactic events (LPO I § 22(2) 1a/2a/3a or UPO § 25b).
Booking in Flexnow
Courses in elective courses must be registered in Flexnow. If the course is not listed in Flexnow, please ask the member of the teaching staff to issue a certificate of successful participation. This should then be submitted to the Examinations Office with a recognition form.
