The musealisation of the French Resistance (working title)

No historical event has left more traces in the French museum landscape than the French resistance against the German occupiers during the Second World War. Today, over 70 museums are dedicated to the Resistance. Using the muséohistoire method, the complex historical, political and socio-cultural reasons for the creation of the Resistance museums, their functions and the exhibition narratives are analysed on the basis of a corpus of five representative museums.
