On behalf of the Faculty of Biology and Preclinical Medicine and the Regensburg Center for Biochemistry (RCB), we cordially invite you to our symposium “RNA Structure, tRNAs, and Ribosomes” in honor of the conferral of an honorary doctorate on Prof. Éric Westhof.
The event will take place on October 6, 2026, in Lecture Hall H51, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
With Professor Éric Westhof, we are honoring a world-renowned pioneer in RNA research whose work has significantly shaped our understanding of the structure and function of RNA. As an alumnus of the University of Regensburg, he also shares a long-standing and special relationship with our university.
During the symposium, he will be awarded an honorary doctorate (Doctor honoris causa) in recognition of his outstanding scientific achievements.
