Between Bavaria and CESEE
One of BAYHOST's central tasks is to network students and academics who foster exchange and academic cooperation between Bavaria and Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. Our alumni come from a variety of BAYHOST programs and events, including:
- Scholarship programs of the Free State of Bavaria (Freistaat Bayern) and its partner countries in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe
- Exchange forums (e.g. Donauforum)
- Internships
- BAYHOST Summer Academy “German as a Foreign Language”
- Projects (e.g. "Welcome to Germany" for students from Serbia, German-Ukrainian seminars)
- Mobility grants
Our alumni work aims to give participants in BAYHOST programs and events the opportunity to get and stay in touch with each other and to form a Europe-wide network. Through our alumni network, we disseminate information on cooperation opportunities in research and teaching, events, funding opportunities, internship and job offers, etc. Our alumni are welcome to contact us with specific questions.
An important part of BAYHOST's alumni work is the Alumni Academy, which is organised on a regular basis.
