Scholarships of the Free State of Bavaria for summer courses of German language at Bavarian HEIs 2025
Students and young academics (with appropriate citizenship) from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine with intermediate German knowledge (at least B1-level) are eligible to apply for scholarships for summer courses of German language at Bavarian higher education institutions.
The scholarships for courses in Bavaria include the course fee, accommodation and a food allowance at a Bavarian HEI.

Complete application documents must be submitted to BAYHOST by the deadline using the online form. This is a cut-off period. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
BAYHOST provides scholarships for the following German summer courses:
- KU Summer School (on-site) at the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, 20.07.-09.08.2025*, Course level A1-C1**
- MISU Summer German language course (on-site) at the LMU Munich, 03.08.-29.08.2025*, Course level A1-C2**
* All course dates include arrival and departure dates.
** The Bavarian HEIs offer German language courses for different levels, but the B1-level is the minimum application requirement for a BAYHOST-scholarship.
Additional fees for specialized courses or for additional cultural program have to be paid for by the scholarship holders, if they wish to participate in these specifically.
