Scholarships for study visits in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe

The partner countries Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia, Czechia, and Hungary offer scholarships for study and research stays at their universities or research institutions. Students and young scientists who are enrolled or conducting research at a state university or a church-run university in Bavaria are eligible to apply.

As soon as we receive information about the scholarship programs from our partner countries, we will publish it here. For upcoming calls for applications, we can add you to our email distribution list (email  doeppe​(at)​bayhost.de) and inform you as soon as an application deadline has been set.

Scholarships for study and research stays in Hungary are offered annually by the Tempus Public Foundation. Applications can no longer be submitted via BAYHOST, but must be submitted directly to the Tempus Public Foundation (external link, opens in a new window).

For scholarships to Poland, please contact the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) (external link, opens in a new window) directly. It is not possible to apply via BAYHOST.

Information on scholarships in Slovakia is provided by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic (external link, opens in a new window) and the National Scholarship Programme (external link, opens in a new window). It is not possible to apply via BAYHOST.
