Master's program in criminology

The interdisciplinary Master's degree programme deals with the causes, manifestations and consequences of criminal offences, violence and aggression. To this end, criminological theory and multidisciplinary perspectives and findings from current research into violence and aggression are brought together to form an interdisciplinary degree programme.

Within the modules, students take part in courses from various disciplines: law, criminology, (neuro-)biology, medicine, (forensic) psychiatry, psychology, political science, sociology, theology, linguistics and cultural studies.

The Standard Period of Study is 4 semesters (120 CP).

Preferably graduates of degree programmes from the subjects of the participating disciplines with a first university degree can qualify for the "Master of Arts (M.A.) in Criminology and Violence Studies" at the University of Regensburg.

You can find a highly recommended guide to the degree programme here (external link, opens in a new window).
