The content and scope of tutor training depend above all on the aims of the tutorial. They are geared to the subject-specific and organisational conditions.

We design tutor training in the following steps:

  1. Clarifying the learning objectives of the training together in a first meeting.
  2. Defining the thematic priorities in the light of those objectives.
  3. Choosing the course format: the range extends from short workshops to seminars running throughout the semester.
  4. Setting dates that fit the tutors’ availability.
  5. Organisation and delivery of the tutor training are handled by CUAT staff. Depending on the topic, the training is co-moderated with experienced teaching staff or tutors from the department.
  6. Developing the programme further on the basis of the evaluation results.

Funding comes from study grants, so tutor training is free of charge for the faculties.

You will find an overview of the current training courses on the GRIPS learning platform in the course area CUAT/Tutor training (external link, opens in a new window).

We are also happy to offer workshops for your tutors.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Please note that tutor training is held in German.
