Research Topic
My research investigates how the human visual system extracts meaningful information from complex scenes to recognize goal-directed actions. Using eye tracking during free viewing, I examine which body regions, such as hands, objects, and torso, observers fixate when identifying everyday actions like reading, cooking, walking etc. I also try to determine which fixated regions predict successful action recognition and how these diagnostic features differ across action categories.
