Prof. Dr. Niels Henze hatte von 2018 bis 2025 die Professur für Medieninformatik inne. Zum Wintersemester 2025 / 2026 ist er an die Universität Tübingen gewechselt. Seine von der deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) geförderten Projekte Pervasive Touch und Manipulation der virtuellen Selbstwahrnehmung durch visuell-haptische Avatar-Parameter werden bei der Medieninformatik in Regensburg weitergeführt.
