Bavarian-Czech Academic Agency BTHA

The Bavarian-Czech Academic Agency (Bayerisch-Tschechische Hochschulagentur) is a project launched on the basis of the development report of the Bavaria-Czech border area by the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance, Land Development and Homeland in 2016. Since 2021, the project is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts. The main Czech partner is the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.

The Bavarian-Czech Academic Agency is affiliated with the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST) as its own department, based at the University of Regensburg, and acts as the central point of contact for all aspects of bilateral cooperation between Bavaria and the Czechia in the field of higher education and science.
