Courses Taught in English
Most faculties / institutes at the University of Regensburg offer courses that are taught in English. Many courses are primarily aimed at third-year students (5th or 6th semester) or Master's students.
Course Types
There are three types of course:
Regular degree courses taught in English
These courses are part of the regular degree programme and are taken by both exchange students and regular students at the UR (for example, the economics course Strategic Business Marketing).
Specialised courses that are taught in English but are specifically designed for exchange students
This is the case, for example, if you want to give exchange students an insight or overview of topics that regular students enrolled at the UR usually already have (for example, the course "The German Economy").
Courses that are taught in English and are open to exchange students from all departments (interdisciplinary studies)
One example is the "German and European Studies Programme for Exchange Students". These courses can be attended by exchange students studying a wide range of subjects, such as political science, law, languages or natural sciences.
All three options can be freely combined. Exchange students receive ECTS points for all three types of courses.
