General information on health insurance
Health insurance for enrolment
The Registrar's Office requires proof of health insurance for enrolment in electronic form only.
You can request a German statutory health insurance company for the health insurance certificate to be sent to the UR. Please contact your statutory health insurance company.
If you have taken out private student health insurance, you must still apply for electronic notification from a statutory health insurance fund.
The submission of paper certificate (insurance card, membership certificate, etc.) is no longer acceptet for enrolment (since 01.01.2022).
Please note that if you have public health insurance, you must pay your health insurance premiums retroactively starting from the first month of enrolment, even if you arrive later or just for your second semester! If you have any further questions, please contact your health insurance provider directly (see info sheet below).
