Life on the Campus of the University of Regensburg
Campus IT
The UR has an excellent computer center. There are more than 30 computer rooms available for your use. These ‘computer pools’ are located in the computer center (1st floor) in the central library, as well as in each faculty. Use of the computers is free of charge. The Campus IT also offers many services, such as free training courses.
Guest researchers receive their access account from their supervising chair.
If you want to print something, you must first add printing credit to your account. You can do this conveniently online and without cash using the ePay system. To do so, log in to the StudiSoft portal (external link, opens in a new window) with your UR account, select the amount you want to add, and then pay with VISA, Mastercard, or PayPal. The credit will be available approximately 15 minutes after successful payment and can be viewed in your Papercut account (external link, opens in a new window).
Scanners are available in the central library.
Food and Drinks
There is a canteen and several cafeterias on the UR campus. However, students and guests of the UR can also use the canteen and cafeterias at OTH Regensburg.
In all cafeterias and canteens, you do not pay with cash, but with your student ID card.
Guests of the UR who do not receive a student ID card can have a MensaCard issued. You can obtain this for a deposit of €10 at the canteen office (Mensabüro):

The library consists of a central library and 13 branch libraries. All books and journals are clearly listed for research purposes in the so-called Regensburg Catalogue (Regensburger Katalog).
Sports Center
All students and staff at UR can take advantage of the university sports prograe at the sports center, which offers a wide range of courses. The selection of sports ranges from aikido to rock climbing and canoeing to yoga.
Confessional University Association
The Catholic University Association, together with the Protestant University Association, runs the Café ‘Panta Rhei’, which takes place regularly in Room 1.28. There is also a small chapel in the Central Library building.
Together, the two university groups offer regular events in their own premises and on campus as the ‘Campus Community’.

Thanks to BayernWLAN, the university's many visitors, students and international guest researchers can now access the internet free of charge, around the clock, without restriction, securely and with parental controls.
The computer center also offers a new network: StudiWLAN. This makes it easier to access the internet. The WLAN can be used without installation or device registration. To log in, you need your UR Account (or NDS) and password.
