As a cross-sectional task, internationalization and the people involved in it can be found in almost all areas and at almost all levels of our university. Nevertheless, at UR there are some people, offices and committees who take on very special tasks in this context.
A detailed description of the organizational structures and responsibilities in the field of internationalization can be found in UR‘s Internationalization Guidelines, but several key contacts in the field of internationalization are briefly introduced below.
Vice-President for Internationalization and Diversity
The Vice-president for internationalization and diversity is responsible for planning and coordinating the internationalization measures at the University of Regensburg. In addition to representation and communication, the Vice President is responsible for developing and implementing the internationalization concept, for the structuring of international partnerships and for the overall strengthening of UR in its diversity as an international campus and transnational hub.
Staff Unit Internationalization
The Vice President is supported in the strategic development of internationalisation at the University of Regensburg by the staff unit internationalization. Among other things, this unit is involved in coordinating the UR Executive Board's cooperation with the faculties and central institutions in the further development of their internationalization.
Committee of Faculty Representatives for International Affairs
The faculty representatives for international affairs coordinate internationalization activities at faculty level and support the university's internationalization activities in an advisory capacity via the committee of faculty representatives for international affairs. They regularly report on faculty and university internationalization measures to the faculty board and the committee of faculty representatives for international affairs.
