Examination Regulations of the Faculties of Arts I-III (external link, opens in a new window)
Students on Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes must register for course assessments (whether oral or written examinations, exercises, seminar or project work) - including repeat examinations - in FlexNow.
The exact details of the individual examinations (date, FlexNow registration and cancellation times, etc.) can be found in the course catalogues in the comments for the respective courses.
Please note that different deadlines and procedures may apply for block courses and courses at other institutions!
Please register for examinations in good time. Sometimes there are difficulties that may take some time to resolve. (You can also deregister from any exam within the deregistration period)
If you have problems registering in FlexNow, please first read the information on the page of the Humanities Examination Office on "Incorrect FlexNow registration".
If this website does not help you with your problem, please contact the media studies office in person or by e-mail within the registration deadline.
If you want to register or deregister on the last day of the deadline and there are problems with this, write an e-mail to the secretary's office immediately (on the same day). This will then be used as a substitute for the registration or cancellation.
Please note: It is not possible to register or deregister outside the deadlines (not even via the secretary's office or the teaching staff)! You may only take the exam (whether written exam or written paper) if you are registered for the exam in FlexNow.
Therefore, please check your registration before the registration deadline! Archive the confirmation e-mails about your registrations and cancellations carefully.
A few more tips:
If you are unable to take a written exam due to illness, please note these instructions on the page of the Humanities Examination Office under "Applications - Sickness Notification".
If the examination is a seminar paper, term paper or project work that you are unable to hand in on time due to illness, please contact the teacher directly.
Check your FlexNow account to make sure that the module position where you want to take an examination is not still "occupied" by another examination. If this is the case, have it rebooked in good time to avoid difficulties when registering for examinations. Here you can find the "Application for rebooking" on the website of the Humanities Examination Office.
If it is a repeat attempt, check whether "failed" or "missed" is entered on this module item.
