Internships

The International Office can offer very good chances of funding in other European countries (except Switzerland).
The criteria for funding are
- Minimum duration of 60 days (2 full months)
- Full-time internship (at least 35 hours per week)
- Internship must be related to your studies at the UR
- independent search for the internship position

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis (up to 4 weeks before the start of the internship).

Antenne Bavaria

The radio station Antenne Bavaria is always offering internships in the correspondent office in Regensburg. There you can gain a sound insight into the day-to-day business of a radio reporter in the administrative districts of Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria. However, applicants should already have some radio experience
a flair for topics and be curious about people.
The Internship is at least 3 months long and is of course paid appropriately. A car driving licence is required.

Bavarian Broadcasting

As a large public media organisation in Bavaria, BR offers paid internships (Hospitanzen) throughout the year, primarily in the field of journalism (radio, television, online). Students have the opportunity to work in various editorial departments and gain their own initial experience. This is also possible at the Studio Ostbayern in Regensburg.

Requirements are Enrolment at the time of the work shadowing/internship as well as initial journalistic experience - preferably in the medium in which you would like to work as an intern at BR.

Every year, BR also awards twelve places for a two-year traineeship. Selection is based on a multi-stage process and requires a university degree as well as relevant journalistic experience. Applications open in mid-December.

The mechanical engineering company Krones has its headquarters in Neutraubling, about 10 kilometres east of Regensburg University. As a full-service provider for the beverage industry, Krones offers a wide range of different job profiles - including regular vacancies for Internships in Corporate Communications. Depending on the position advertised, the communications department is looking for students with different interests and previous knowledge: Text, social media, web design and photo/video are just some of the subject areas.
As the students take on independent tasks during their Internship, the positions are usually filled for around five to seven months. Requirements include enrolment for the entire duration of the internship.

SSV Jahn Regensburg

SSV Jahn Regensburg is the largest team sports club in Eastern Bavaria and its men's team currently plays in the 2nd Bundesliga. Today, a professional media department is a must-have for every football club. Student radio is the campus radio station in Regensburg. It broadcasts live 24/7 on the internet/via app and offers students the opportunity to try their hand at radio journalism.
