20 additional credits/free elective courses in the combinatorial B.A. programme

In the combinatorial B.A. degree programme, in addition to the credit points in your subjects, you must also complete 20 credit points in the so-called free elective courses in. This is intended to give you the opportunity to create a personal professional profile. You have the opportunity to deepen your specialist knowledge according to your own interests either by attending further courses in your own subject combination and/or to expand your range of knowledge in other subject areas (in addition to the subjects in your own subject combination).

In principle, all courses in the Faculties of Arts and Humanities I-III that are approved for elective courses in can be attended to acquire additional points. These can be, but do not have to be, the courses to which the module abbreviation MED-BA-WB-fachintern is assigned. They can be found in the course catalogues in SPUR under your degree programme in media studies under "MED-BA-WB-fachintern".

It can also be all courses to which the module abbreviation WB-XYZ (e.g. WB-IMSK, WB-DEU, WB-POL ...) is assigned. To be found under the heading "Bachelor of Arts (Multi-Subject Bachelor)" in "Courses for the general electives (Bachelor)".

You can also attend the courses of the various supplementary courses, e.g. study-related IT training (SITA) https://www.uni-regensburg.de/informatik-data-science/studieren/studienbegleitende-it-ausbildung-sita, (external link, opens in a new window) foreign language and rhetoric courses of the Center for Language and Communication, German as a foreign language, etc. Please find out in advance how the courses are to be included in the elective courses in each case.
You therefore have the choice of continuing your professional or interdisciplinary education or acquiring so-called key qualifications through additional courses.
