Study abroad

Studying abroad not only broadens your personal horizons, but also gives you an insight into academic education in other countries and increases your intercultural competence. The Faculty of Mathematics expressly supports the endeavours of Bachelor's, Master's and teaching degree Mathematics students to spend a semester or year studying at a foreign university.

In the Bachelor's programme, for example, the 5th semester is a good time to spend a semester abroad. You can see a possible course of study in this plan (opens in a new window). (This PDF is not accessible). For a stay abroad in the 5th and/or 6th semester, it is advisable to contact a bachelor's thesis supervisor beforehand if possible. This will allow you to plan your choice of course and the further course of your studies.
