What is Switching University Places?
Students who have not been accepted at the university of their choice in the application procedure for an admission-restricted study place have the opportunity to swap their university place.
To do this, you must find someone who is studying the same subject in the same semester at your chosen university and would also like to swap.
Study place exchange websites can help you find a suitable exchange partner.
Once you have found someone who would like to swap places, you must apply for the swap at the respective university. In Regensburg, the Registrar's Office is responsible for this.
How does Switching University Places Work?
For a successful switching of university places you need
- the completed and signed application for switching university places | PDF (German version only)
- copies of the admission letters of all swappers
- copies of the certificates of enrolment of all swappers
- a copy of the university entrance qualification of the person making the swap
Please note: The exchange application for a degree program with restricted admission must be submitted early enough to ensure that the exchange is completed by the start of lectures.
