What's important when Changing your Degree Program?
- Please check whether your desired combination of degree programs is actually possible.
- For degree programs with restricted admission or if an aptitude test is required for the desired degree program, you can only submit your application after you have applied and been admitted, pre-registered or your aptitude has been determined. Please remember to upload the necessary documents.
- For higher subject-related semesters, you may need to enclose a corresponding classification from the examination office responsible for you.
- If you wish to change to a Master's degree program, please upload your letter of admission and (if already available) your Bachelor's degree certificate as part of the application.
- If you would like to change from an economics degree program, please note the information on the basic and orientation examination (GOP) for Bachelor's students before changing. If you have any questions in this regard, please contact the colleagues in the Examinations Office for Business and Economics.
What Deadlines Apply to the Change of Subject?
You can only apply to change your degree program or subject during the re-registration or enrollment deadlines.
If your application is rejected, you will receive a corresponding notification from us.
You will receive the confirmation of enrolment with the changed study data approximately two to three weeks after the end of the re-registration period via the SPUR student portal (external link, opens in a new window). If you have submitted your application after the re-registration deadline, you will receive the certificate of enrolment two to three weeks after receipt of your application.
Retroactive transfers for completed semesters are not possible.
