Supplementary studies in gender competence (ZGK)

In today's society, which is characterised by diversity and subject to constant change, gender competence is an important key competence for countering discrimination based on gender identity and promoting diversity. Awareness of social inequalities in particular is a decisive building block against sexism and discrimination as well as for a reflective and self-critical approach in both professional and private life.

The University of Regensburg and the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg (East Bavarian Technical University of Applied Sciences Regensburg ) are jointly offering an additional qualification on issues of (professional) equality for people of all genders with the theoretically and practically orientated, scientifically based, cross-university supplementary studies programme leading to the Gender Competence Certificate (ZGK). The aim is to enable participants to analyse the various aspects of the category 'gender' by expanding their professional, methodological and social skills. This enables participants to support and accompany gender equality processes.
