23.4.2026: Exchange with Jacquelyn Eidson, Ph.D. (Kansas University)
Share with us a role model talk including a look at current research on mentoring and compatibility!
In April, we welcome Jacque Eidson to the University of Regensburg - Fulbright Specialist, first-time academic and doctor of organisational psychology. Her research focusses, for example, on women in the world of work, effective mentoring relationships and the factors that can hinder or strengthen mothers when returning to work.
She also serves on the Ethics & Human Relations Commission for Jackson County and directs the National Higher Education Benchmark Institute. Her perspectives combine scientific expertise with social commitment - and this is exactly what we would like to exchange about: her personal journey, her research and her experiences.
Afterwards, we invite you to a get-together with small treats from the Studierendenwerk.
Date: Thursday, 23 April 2026, 12:00-14:00
Location: "Westliche Naturwissenschaften" building, room DE_0.133 and in the foyer (close to H 52)
Moderation: Prof Dr Miriam Banas
Event language: English
Target group: Women doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, students, network "Motherhood/Parenthood and Academia" and all interested parties
For parents: We will provide some toys for smaller children - they are very welcome to attend the event.
