Menopause in focus

In everyday university life in particular, menopause has so far been a less visible phase of life. Its effects on performance, presence and well-being are often overlooked and regarded as a purely private matter, although they can have a noticeable impact on the reality of work.
In cooperation with the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Service Office at OTH Regensburg and the equal opportunities officer of the non-academic and service staff at the University of Regensburg, the Equal Opportunities Coordination Office is organising events on the topic in 2026. The aim is to help remove taboos and stigmatisation and to promote knowledge building on the topic in order to make both universities more gender-equitable workplaces.
