Between Tradition and the Future of Classics
The conference is designed to serve as a forum for Digital Classics and related fields. The aim is to demonstrate through examples and more general presentations
(1) how and to what extent the study of sources and the methods of Classical Philology can be supported, enhanced or developed through the use of insights, methods and tools stemming from Digital Humanities and Computer Science;
(2) how Digital Classics work and to what extent topics and methods of traditional Classical Philology have already become integrated into Digital Classics and can continue to be integrated;
(3) how Classical Philology and Digital Classics in particular and Digital Humanities in general can support Computer Science, for example in the production of reliable and sustainable data as well as in the area of Digital Ethics.
Beyond discussing topics and projects from Digital Classics and related fields, there will be a special focus on fostering the dialogue between the Humanities and AI.
