Regensburg
Welcome to the city with the highest density of pubs in Bavaria! There are, of course, countless pubs, bars and nightclubs just waiting to be discovered – for example, as part of one of the pub crawls that take place every term. Even if you prefer a quieter atmosphere, you won’t get bored here. The city’s restaurants have something to suit every taste. What’s more, Regensburg’s Old Town provides a magical backdrop for Christmas markets in winter or cosy get-togethers by the Danube in summer. There’s plenty to enjoy culturally too: for example, you can visit the Stadttheater, one of the many cinemas or the House of Bavarian History.
The university itself also regularly organises lectures, plays, concerts and a university cinema. On top of that, there are numerous events organised by the various student societies.
