Description of the
Let’s play the game! Stadt, Land, Fluss transmedial.
Discussion round
It is the media that turn these three specific living spaces into a common experiential space, translating and interweaving their respective aesthetic and thematic characteristics. The city is generally regarded as the cradle and motif of film history. Television transports images into the living rooms of urban and rural areas. With "Rhine II", Andreas Gursky puts said river in the picture, creating one of the most expensive photographs in the world.
In the spirit of the title-giving game, the staff of the Chair of Media Studies at the University of Regensburg want to provide an insight into how media studies thinking can contribute to the 2018 annual theme of "City - Country - River". The audience provides the letters, the members of the teaching staff have to contribute to the
Categories city, country and river - always with a media reference. It remains to be seen whether Michael Fleig, Dr Sascha Keilholz, Dr Solveig Ottmann, Dr Silke Roesler-Keilholz and Dr Herbert Schwaab can be lured out of their shells and inspire each other and the audience.
Come along and let the game begin!
