Theses for Bachelor's, Master's and grammar school teaching degrees
Timetable for bachelor's theses
If you want to write a Bachelor's thesis in this specialisation, you should generally attend two in-depth lectures from the field of applied analysis (e.g. Functional Analysis, Partial Differential Equations I, Optimisation, Numerics II) in your third Bachelor's year .
You should contact your chosen supervisor in good time and attend their seminar. This means that you should choose a seminar in the fourth or fifth semester and let them know that you are considering a Bachelor's thesis when the topic is assigned. The final decision in favour of a thesis should be made by the end of January or the end of the lecture period of the fifth semester. In exceptional cases, Bachelor's theses may also be assigned without a prior seminar.
The results of the Bachelor's thesis are presented in a Bachelor's seminar in the sixth semester.
Access to admission theses:
Contact the desired supervisor in good time and attend their seminar. In exceptional cases, admission theses are also assigned without a prior seminar.
Study Plan for Master's theses:
As a rule, you complete the MAngAn module in the first year of study.
In the second Master's semester, you should find a supervisor and/or a possible topic for your Master's thesis through a seminar. Please discuss the exact course and time schedule for the third and fourth Master's semesters individually with your supervisor.
