Access to theses (Bachelor's, Master's, admission thesis for teaching degrees)
- Contact your chosen supervisor in good time.
- Normally, you should listen to one of the cycles from the Global Analysis and Geometry specialisation, e.g. Differential Geometry or Topology or a combination. If in doubt, simply ask your chosen supervisor to coordinate your individual planning. (This is not mandatory for admission theses for teaching degrees, but is advantageous; please consult your member of the teaching staff directly).
- Attend a seminar in the specialisation area.
Timetable for Bachelor's theses
If you want to write a Bachelor's thesis in this specialisation, you should generally attend two in-depth lectures from the areas of global analysis and topology in your third Bachelor's year (e.g. both differential geometry lectures or differential geometry I and topology I; see above for other combinations).
You should also choose at least one seminar in the fifth semester and indicate that you are considering writing a Bachelor's thesis when the topic is assigned. The final decision for a thesis should be made by the end of January; however, only students who have attended a seminar with the respective member of the teaching staff in the winter semester are usually accepted. However, the member of the teaching staff may waive this requirement in exceptional cases. The results of the Bachelor's thesis are presented in a Bachelor's seminar in the summer semester.

Please discuss the exact course and time schedule with your supervisor individually.
